Maria.B is taking legal action against team Barzakh

In the past few days, there has been a lot of hate on social media regarding the new Pakistani drama series Barzakh, which aired on Zindagi. Before delving further into why people are unhappy with this drama, it’s important to note that it was directed by Asim Abbasi, who previously had huge success with two other dramas.

Despite the controversy, the drama’s strong cast, including the much-anticipated return of Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, attracted a large audience. In fact, around 4 million people have already watched the drama on YouTube. However, after the first episode aired, many viewers expressed their concerns, claiming it was not at all family-friendly.

Notably, Maria B, a famous Pakistani designer, took to her social media account to criticize the drama, alleging that it promotes homosexuality, which she argued is considered haram in Islam. Following the criticism, the Zindagi team decided to block the drama for the Pakistani audience on YouTube, with the final episode set to air only on August 9th.

In response to these events, Maria B has decided to take a stand and go to court to take action against the drama.
