On the occasion of Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari announced that 104 national awards will be given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the nation in their respective fields. The awards will be presented on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2025.
These awards will be distributed across various sectors, including Education, Science, Technology, Arts, Medicine, Social Services, Public Services, Export, Entrepreneurship, Taxpayers, Sports, Literature, Gallantry, and Philanthropy.
In the category of Public Service, the late former Prime Minister and President Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto will be posthumously awarded the Nishan-i-Pakistan.
In the field of Sports, Arshad Nadeem, a Pakistani javelin thrower who recently won a Gold Medal at the Olympics, will receive the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
Additionally, the renowned Pakistani climber Murad Sadpara, who tragically passed away due to injuries sustained during his rescue by the Pakistan Army on the world’s 12th highest mountain, Broad Peak, will be honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
Furthermore, other deserving individuals, including some foreigners, will also be recognized with various national awards. Among them is Saudi Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Al Saud, who will be awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
