BTS Member Suga Apologizes in Seoul

Min Yoon-gi, popularly known as Suga from the globally renowned K-pop band BTS, was involved in a legal incident in Seoul. Suga was caught driving an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol, which is against South Korea’s road traffic laws.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when Suga was stopped by Seoul traffic police after riding the scooter for approximately 500 meters. A breathalyzer test was administered, which confirmed that he was drunk. As a result, his scooter license was immediately revoked.

Following the incident, Suga took to Weverse, the fan community platform, to issue an apology. He stated,

“I violated the road traffic law because I was comfortable with the idea of being close to home and was not aware that you could not use an electric scooter when you are drunk. I apologize to everyone who has been hurt by my careless and wrong behavior.”
