Sher Afzal Marwat has been directed to resign from the National Assembly as the party has announced the dismissal of his party membership. The notification was issued on social media by PTI’s Additional Secretary General, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, stating:
“The committee has concluded that Sher Afzal Marwat shows no regard for the rules and discipline of the party, and his actions have adversely affected the party’s image and narrative.”
The letter also mentioned that the termination of his party membership was approved by the party founder, Imran Khan.
Following this, Sher Afzal Marwat responded on his official X account, saying:
“I respect the party’s decision, but let me make it clear that I was and will remain Khan’s soldier, and I will make every effort to secure my leader’s release.”
However, half of the PTI members are unaware of this decision and stated that during the PTI members’ meeting on Friday, there was no discussion regarding the termination of Sher Afzal Marwat.
Additionally, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar also denied the authenticity of this notification
